This is a list of cable networks that have been shut down by their owners. Not included on this list are networks that have been renamed, which are included in my other list, New Names for Cable Networks.

• 30 June 2024: Longhorn Network shut down by ESPN (continues online-only, some programming folded into SEC Network)
• 18 November 2022: G4 shut down by Comcast
• 30 September 2022: Olympics Channel shut down by NBCU
• 31 December 2021: NBCSN shut down by NBCU
• 31 December 2021: Fusion TV shut down by Univision
• 31 December 2021: ESPN Classic shut down by ESPN/Disney
• 1 January 2021: El Rey shut down
• 22 May 2020: Audience Network shut down by DirecTV
• 31 December 2017: Chiller shut down by NBCU
• 28 June 2017: Esquire shut down by NBCU (will live on in an online-only form)
• 1 February 2017: Cloo shut down by NBCU
• 31 October 2016: Pivot shut down by Participant Media 
• 12 April 2016: Al Jazeera America shut down by Al Jazeera
• 31 July 2014: FEARnet shut down by NBCU (some programming moved to Syfy and Chiller)

• 1 July 2011: Wedding Central shut down by AMC Networks
• 9 April 2008: AZN Television shut down by Comcast
• 31 December 2007: Nickelodeon Games and Sports for Kids shut down by Viacom
• 30 April 2007: Black Family Channel shut down
• 31 December 2004: CNNfn shut down by AOL Time Warner
• 15 May 2002: CNN Sports Illustrated (CNNSI) shut down by AOL
• August 2000: Boyz Channel and Girlz Channel shut down by Fox
